Zohrab Gadirov, Head of Investment Promotion Department at Azerbaijan Export & Investment promotion foundation (AZPROMO)

Mr. Zohrab Gadirov holds Master’s degrees from Baku State University and Texas A&M University, both in International Affairs major. Mr. Gadirov began his career as Economic and Trade Officer at the Embassy of Israel in Baku. He later shifted his career path into the banking sector where he managed Financial Institutions business firstly at a commercial bank Unibank, and later at International Bank of Azerbaijan, the largest bank in the country. His next work place was the Exporters Club of Azerbaijan where he served as Executive Director. In 2019 he joined Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) where he remains as Investment promotion department director.

Vugar Mammadov, LL.M, Managing Partner, VLM and Partners

Vugar Mammadov is the Managing Partner at VLM.  He holds an LL.M (Master of Laws) degree in Business and Trade Law from Erasmus University, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Vugar brings over fifteen years’ experience and a proven track record of success spanning various aspects of legal and tax areas for international and local businesses.  He set-up and headed up the Legal Practice at Deloitte Azerbaijan for many years after eight years experience at PwC Azerbaijan Tax and Legal Practice. Vugar’s key accomplishments include delivering legal expertise in corporate and business transactions, mergers and acquisitions and project finance, expert advice and oversight in large corporate negotiations.

Elvin Hatamzade, Head of the Office of International Affairs of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Elvin Hatamzade is an independent research fellow and a former senior legal counsel of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He has published papers on international law and the Caspian region. He is the Head of the International Affairs Office of Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan and he teaches law and democracy at a leading university in Azerbaijan.

Fuad Karimli has 11 years of experience in international commercial and cross-border M&A transactions, negotiations, risk management and business development. He is closely involved in the expansion of businesses of Morneau Shepell to various regions and new markets.
